The Warehouse Assistant Manager Job Description

Purpose Boutique is looking for a highly organized and flexible problem solver! An applicant that feels passionate and confident in seeing details, working with numbers, and delivering clear communication. This candidate should be eager to tackle projects with high energy; excited about systems and processes; and looking to grow with an ever-evolving company!  This candidate directly reports to our Warehouse Manager and works closely with Warehouse specialists, Inventory Manager(s), and the Warehouse/Inventory manager.
Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: (10-15 hrs/week)
    • Actively improve inventory systems at Purpose
      • Inventory Department monthly meetings
      • Warehouse Check-ins 
    • Online Sales
      • Processes order fulfillment for Facebook/Instagram Live using Shopify
      • Frequently ships out additional online orders received on social media
      • Communicates with store inventory leads for order fulfillment from stores
    • Purchase Orders 
      • Keeps store Purchase Orders and Invoices organized in binders and Evernote
    • Inventory Check-in 
      • Receives inventory and checks into Lightspeed
      • Tags and organizes in warehouse by style
      • Preps product for transfers to stores
      • Manages warehouse support in tagging/labeling items correctly
    • Light Speed Expert
      • Knowledgeable of all back-end and front-end Light Speed functions (training provided)
    • Warehouse Audits
      • Participates in monthly category audits and yearly store audits
      • Receives communication from Inventory Manager on when audits are scheduled each month 
      • Works with Inventory Manager to compile a shrinkage report for warehouse
    • Warehouse Damages
      • Processes damages received from stores
      • Filters through damages and fixes items or works with Inventory manager to get credit for damaged goods
    • Retail Pricing
      • Preps new product for retail pricing by taking one of each item out of box
      • Writes price, margin, cost on sticky note 
    • Transfers
      • Assists Warehouse manager with weekly transfers of social product & fill-in product
    Involvement in Social/Marketing Department: (10 hrs a week) 
    • Photo Shoot Prep
      • Own + organize photoshoot area in warehouse
      • Own + organize marketing products for their entire lifecycle to stores (one of each item taken to photoshoot area, organized correctly, pulled + labeled for correct photoshoot or transfer date, flickr albums created, website attributes written, product prepped for shoot, website photos taken, product put away after shoots, products communicated for transfer, products prepped for live, products put away after live, products transferred to correct store)
      • Work closely with inventory manager on marketing transfers + website new arrivals
    • Prep photoshoot looks (steam, gather models sizing)
    • Gather in garment bags & bins to be taken to photoshoot
    • Add stock photos, style #’s, and description to flickr album. Organize product flickr albums
    • Make sure product goes back to the correct location and is tagged after shoot
    Growth Track: Potential Growth Areas of Ownership + Responsibility:
    • Leading Audits
      • Completes monthly/yearly store audits
      • Communicates days/times of audit schedule to stores 
      • Works with Inventory Manager to compile a shrinkage report for each store
      • Ring out donations for warehouse
      • Investigates the WHY of the shrinkage number and presents at inventory meeting, also includes notes in inventory spreadsheet
      • Take donations to appropriate charity and get tax write off
        • Send tax write off to Flip
    • Manages Donations
      • Takes knowledge of overall company donation goals and takes action 
      • Filters through damages in each store & reaches out to get credit/replacements for damaged items
    • Transfers
      • Oversees transfers between stores to balance styles, sizes, assets, etc.
      • Works with other Inventory Managers to ensure transfers are compiled and accepted as needed 
      • Checks transfers list weekly to make sure nothing is ‘in transit’ 
     
    Job Type: Part-time/ Hourly est. 30 hours/week  *Must be available Monday-Thursdays*
    Compensation: Hourly DOE, Sick days accrued
